Sanguine Hospitality is a specialist hotel development company. It was founded in 2006 with the £26m development of Cadbury House, near Bristol, followed by the £6.35m acquisition of Hoole Hall in Chester. Both properties were converted into complete hotel and spa destinations under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.
Since its inception, Sanguine has developed a strong partnership with many of the world's leading international hospitality companies including InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Hilton Worldwide, Wyndham Worldwide and Marco Pierre White. Working closely with them they have developed hotels under the Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hampton by Hilton, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Express and Days brands.
Sanguine boasts an excellent track record for development and encompasses everything from site finding, market feasibility and sourcing funds to planning, valuation, property design and development.
Sanguine Hospitality is one of a very few number of companies who continues to bring new quality developments to the market and its pace continues to increase. In 2011, we developed three new hotels, two restaurants, and a club and spa. In 2012, we developed another three branded properties (in Liverpool, Birmingham and Newcastle) and two branded restaurants - a total of over 600 rooms. In 2013, we will complete three hotel developments in Exeter, Sheffield, Birmingham and we are progressing at speed with our Hilton hotel and spa at Southampton's Ageas Bowl, which opened in 2014. Currently, we are finalising deals for projects in London, Manchester and Cardiff.
In February 2013, we sold the hotel management arm of our business to the world's leading hotel management company, Interstate Hotels & Resorts. The deal will see us work closely with Interstate to procure and deliver development projects to allow Interstate to grow its UK portfolio from 14 hotels to 100 over the next five years.
